Walz Discusses Pandemic Milestones Over The Weekend

(St. Paul, MN)  --  Governor Tim Walz is recognizing just how far we have come in the COVID-19 pandemic.  At a Saturday press conference, the governor said that March 6th marked the day when the millionth person in Minnesota had received a coronavirus vaccine.  Also, it happened to be one year since the first COVID case was confirmed in the state.  Walz said it was 365 days of "a whole lot of personal sacrifice by Minnesotans."  But, health officials did make a case for starting to finally turn the corner, as a majority of those age 65+ have been vaccinated along with over 55-percent of child care workers and teachers.
