UPDATE: Brothers Killed in Wadena County Shootout ID'D

(Sebeka, MN) -- We've learned it was a pair of brothers shot dead in Wadena County, after police say they fired on law enforcement during a traffic stop that went bad over the weekend. The Minnesota BCA says 42-year-old David and 36-year-old Shannon Savela both died from gunshot wounds Saturday in North Germany Township. Two police were also hit in the melee. They're identified as Troy Meyer, who's a Wadena County Deputy and Sebeka Police Officer Jason Worm. Meyer was injured, worm was saved by his bulletproof vest. A civilian passenger was inside the deputy's car, and was not injured.
