Burgum Joins 21 Governors Opposing Distribution Of Upcoming COVID-19 Funds

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Governor Doug Burgum says that the planned distribution of federal COVID-19 funds is unfair.  Burgum joined 21 other governors in opposing how the funds would be distributed to the states.  The one-point-nine-trillion-dollar stimulus package newly-passed by the U.S. House takes into account each state's unemployment rate when deciding how much each state gets.  The previous packages sent out federal funds based on their populations.  The current proposal would lead to North Dakota losing 114-million dollars.
