SD Atty General to Face Misdemeanor Charges From Deadly Crash

(Pierre, SD) -- The Attorney General of South Dakota will face misdemeanor charges, after being accused in a deadly crash that killed a man almost a half-year ago. The State's Attorney's Office in Hyde County says Jason Ravnsborg is looking at operating a vehicle while using a mobile or electronic device, a lane driving violation for driving outside of his lane and careless driving. The incident happened back on Sept. 12 on Highway 14, when a car Ravnsborg occupied hit and killed a pedestrian. 55-year-old Joe Boever of Highmore was killed.
