MN Governor Walz Announces More Plans For In-Person Learning

(St. Paul, MN)  --  Governor Tim Walz is setting March 8th as a goal date for all schools to offer some in-person learning by.  During yesterday's conference, Walz said he is encouraging, not requiring, all schools to offer some sort of return to the classroom by that date due to falling COVID numbers.  The state has also updated its "safe learning plan" to allow for in-person or hybrid learning for middle and high schools beginning Monday.  The governor also said he is setting aside 18-thousand vaccine doses for educators next week, and has vowed to get those workers at least one vaccine shot by the March opening date.
