(New York, NY)  --  The ex-CFO of the Trump Organization will spend five months behind bars for perjury.

Allen Weisselberg was sentenced today after he pleaded guilty last month as part of a plea deal. The perjury charges are connected to his testimony in former President Trump's civil fraud trial. Authorities say Weisselberg did not tell the truth in a deposition he gave last May leading up to former President Trump's civil fraud trial and again when he testified in that case back in October.

Weisselberg previously spent about three months in prison for avoiding taxes on perks while working for the Trump Organization.
