(Miami, FL)  --  A former U.S. diplomat accused of being a Cuban spy is pleading guilty.

Manuel Rocha was the U.S. ambassador to Bolivia, and prosecutors claim he had been a "covert agent" for Cuba for decades. Earlier this month, the 73-year-old Rocha pleaded not guilty to acting as an agent of a foreign government, but during a Miami court hearing Thursday, he announced he was changing his plea.

Rocha is expected to formally plead guilty on April 12th in exchange for a reduced sentence.
