(New York, NY) -- The Powerball jackpot is approaching 640-million-dollars for the Christmas Day drawing. Lottery officials say the grand prize has an estimated cash value of 321-million-dollars.
Historically, only three powerball jackpots have ever been won on Christmas. This is the fourth Powerball jackpot to top a half-billion dollars this year.
Despite there being no grand prize winner in last night's drawing, tickets sold in Arizona, Missouri and Nebraska matched five out of six numbers to win at least a million dollars.
