Man indicted in murder of Tupac Shakur

(Las Vegas, NV)  --  A man has been indicted in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.

Duane "Keefe D" Davis was arrested in Las Vegas Friday after a grand jury indicted him on Thursday.

He is charged with murder with use of a deadly weapon.

Police executed a search warrant and searched Davis' home in Henderson, Nevada in July.

Duane had previously claimed to be connected to the drive-by shooting that killed Shakur.

Shakur died six days after the September 1996 drive-by shooting that happened while he was in a car at an intersection near the Las Vegas strip.

No arrests had ever been made in the 27 years since his murder.
