(REHOBOTH BEACH, DE) — The First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The First Lady’s Communications Director, Elizabeth Alexander, confirmed the news Sunday evening. Dr. Biden is “currently experiencing only mild symptoms,” according to Alexander. She will remain in Rehoboth Beach, according to the statement.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Joe Biden was administered a COVID-19 test following the First Lady’s positive test, which yielded a negative result. He will continue to test “at a regular cadence” this week, Jean-Pierre said, and will monitor for symptoms.
