(Washington, DC)  --  A New York man is being sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the January 6th Capitol riot.

Prosecutors say 37-year-old Thomas Sibick of Buffalo stole the badge and radio of a police officer during the riot. Sibick pleaded guilty to one felony charge and one misdemeanor charge in March, and on Friday a judge sentenced him to 50 months in prison and ordered him to pay a $7,500 fine.

Three other men have been convicted in the attack on the same officer and have been sentenced to serve between seven and 12 years in prison.
