(Fort Knox, KY) -- An Army sergeant from Fort Knox in Kentucky is building quite the medal collection.

U.S. Army Master Sergeant Annettee Melecio has completed 13 Ironman triathlons since 2017.

The 44-year-old suffers from P-T-S-D after a taxing deployment overseas in Iraq. Melecio copes by spending at least 20 hours a week training for the endurance race.

An Ironman consists of a two-point-four-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and ends with a full running marathon.

The mother of two has two more races planned for later this year.
