(Detroit, MI) -- General Motors will be shutting down production of their assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky next week due to a parts shortage.
The plant makes the iconic Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Corvette Z-06 models.
The automaker did not specify what parts are lacking but did say they are working with suppliers to deal with issue.
A GM truck plant in Mexico has been idled since March 4th due to a parts shortage but should reopen Monday.
