(Riga) -- Cars confiscated from drunk drivers in Latvia are helping the war effort in Ukraine.

The first delivery of cars seized from drunk drivers arrived in Ukraine this week.

Latvia has the highest rate in drunk driving in all of Europe and Latvian authorities seized 200 vehicles from wasted drivers during January and February.

The government hasn't been able to auction off seized cars fast enough so it's sending them to Ukraine's hospitals and the military.
