(Turkey) -- The U.S. is providing 100-million dollars in disaster relief aid to Turkey and Syria after a devastating earthquake slammed the countries earlier this month.
That's according to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who visited the hardest-hit areas in Turkey on Sunday.
More than 46-thousand people have died as a result of the quake.
Blinken noted search and rescue efforts are coming to an end. He added there will be a massive "long-term" rebuilding effort.
The new round of funding brings the total American assistance to roughly 185-million dollars.
