(Milford, NH) -- A New Hampshire school district is reversing its ban on restroom urinals.

Local school board members in Milford voted to reverse the ban earlier this month, following a contentious February 6th board meeting during which members had pitched a proposal that would require students to use restrooms and locker rooms based on their assigned gender at birth.

That proposal upset transgender and gender-nonconforming students who protested traditional gender assignments.

Board members then pitched a urinal ban as a compromise, a move that made no one happy, prompting the board to flush the idea.
