(Washington, DC) -- The Biden administration is accusing North Korea of selling battlefield missiles and rockets to Russian mercenaries fighting in Ukraine.

The White House said on Thursday that North Korea has supplied arms to the Wagner group, in violation of U.N. Security Council sanctions.

Both North Korea and Wagner have denied the reports.

White House national security spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday that the mercenaries took delivery of infantry rockets and missiles from North Korea.

The U.K. government says the number of mercenary fighters in Ukraine has jumped from a thousand to nearly 20-thousand.
