North Dakota Congressman votes yes to pass National Defense Authorization Act in U.S House

(Bismarck, ND) --  A North Dakota U.S House member is explaining why he voted yes following the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act in the House in Washington, D.C. 

Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) says the key role North Dakota plays in the nation's security is the big reason he voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act. The Act passed the House yesterday. Armstrong says the pay raise for troops, the removal of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and the ban of the government and contractors from using Chinese semi-conductors all factored into his decision to support the bill. The funding will also allow for the Minuteman program to be modernized to the Sentinel weapons system to be located at Minot Air Force Base.
