(New York, NY) -- A new study says only eight-percent of Americans have a positive view of cryptocurrencies.

The CNBC economic survey published Wednesday shows 43-percent of the public has a negative view of cryptocurrencies, up from 25-percent in March, while those with a positive view plummeted from 19-percent to just eight-percent.

The sharp drop in public approval follows a series of collapses and bankruptcies in the crypto market.
