(Fargo, ND) -- It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas trees will be more expensive this year.

Blame it on inflation. Operating costs at tree farms are up on everything from labor to raw materials and shipping to retailers.

An industry group surveyed growers who provide about two-thirds of the nation's Christmas trees and found that most expect to raise prices to retailers by five- to 15-percent, with some charging 20-percent more than last year.

The move comes as interest rates and recession concerns continue to loom across the country.
