Washington, DC - The U.S. Supreme Court opens a new term on Monday and it does so with a new member, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Justices have already agreed to take up a number of high-profile cases, including one that could lead the court to do away with affirmative action when it comes to college admissions. They'll also hear cases involving voting rights and immigration policy. In another case out of Colorado, the court will delve into freedom of speech, religion and LGBTQ rights based on a website designer's assertion that her Christian faith makes it acceptable to refuse to design a wedding website for a same-sex couple.
