(Washington, DC) -- The federal response to Hurricane Ian isn't about politics, it's about the people of Florida. So said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She declined to offer an opinion about whether Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is doing a good job in his storm-ravaged state. Jean-Pierre noted DeSantis and President Biden have had several productive phone conversations. The President plans to visit Florida, but no details have been nailed down.
