(Washington, DC) -- A new bill in the House would bar lawmakers and judges from trading stocks.

The bill House Democrats introduced Tuesday would apply to members of Congress, federal judges, Supreme Court justices, the President, and other government officials.

They would be prohibited from trading or owning investments in securities, commodities, futures, crypto currency or other digital assets.

Those subject to the ban would be required to divest their holdings or place them in a blind trust.
