(Washington, DC) -- The White House says Senator Lindsey Graham's abortion bill is "wildly out of step" with American values. In a statement, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized Republicans for working to restrict access to abortion while President Biden and Vice President Harris focused on passing the Inflation Reduction Act. The South Carolina Republican's proposal would nationally ban abortion after 15 weeks except in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the patient's health. Jean-Pierre noted Biden and congressional Democrats continue to be committed to restoring Roe v. Wade rights that were overturned by the Supreme Court.
