(Washington, DC)  --  Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is sharing new plans for the IRS to prepare for "an overhaul".

Congress has authorized an 80-billion-dollar cash infusion through the Inflation Reduction Act.  Yellen wrote IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig this week a list priorities, including improving systems around taxpayer services, upgrading their technology, and hiring thousands of tax enforcement agents.

Yellen says she wants to create a new plan on how the money will be spent within six months.
