CDC Director: "Confusing and Overwhelming" pandemic response reason behind reorganization

(Atlanta, GA)  --  The CDC is looking to reorganize its structure following internal criticisms from the organization's leadership.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky urged the need for changes of her agency's public guidance during the pandemic, describing it as "confusing and overwhelming," while calling for an overhaul.  

She met with her senior staff to plan out a reorganization of the CDC's structure, with public health and containing outbreaks top of mind.
