(New York, NY) -- Almost 60-percent of Americans' entertainment time is spent on ad-supported platforms.
That's according to a new study by research firm Luminate. It found Americans having an ad-free experience isn't the main driver behind premium subscriptions.
The study showed the top two factors for premium subscriptions include getting good value for the price and having a wide variety of content.
It also found Americans spend 88-percent of their entertainment money on visual content against 12-percent on audio content.
