Noah Lyles breaks U.S. record in 200M race

(Eugene, OR) -- American runner Noah Lyles has broken the U.S. record in the men's 200-meter race.

Lyles beat the previous record held by Micheal Johnson by only a fraction of a second, completing the race in just 19-point-31 seconds.

The U.S. swept the medals in the 200-meter race held Thursday at the World Athletic Championships in Eugene, Oregon, with Lyles followed closely by Americans Kenny Bednarek and Erriyon Knighton.
