(Miramar, FL) -- Spirit Airlines says it's again delaying a vote on a planned merger with Frontier Airlines because of a lack of shareholder support.

Frontier has been in a bidding with JetBlue Airways for Spirit. A report in Forbes says the Spirit board struck a deal with Frontier back in February, but a vote on the merger has been delayed three times because Spirit shareholders are holding out for a better offer.

Wednesday, Spirit said the shareholder vote planned for Friday was now being pushed back to July 27th.
