HBO Max halts original productions across much of Europe

(New York, NY) -- HBO Max is ending original productions across much of Europe.

The streaming service confirmed on Monday that it won't produce originals in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Central Europe, the Netherlands, and Turkey.

HBO Max will continue original productions only in France and Spain. The move is part of parent company Warner Brothers Discovery to cut about three-billion dollars in costs following its split from AT&T.
