Americans earned more, spent less in May

(Washington, DC) -- Americans earned more but spent less last month.

Government figures out from this past week show personal income rose half-a-percent in May while personal spending was up only two-tenths percent.

The gain in income was the same as in April while the bump in spending was less than April's six-tenths percent gain.
