(Fargo, ND) -- You should be on the road already if you're trying to beat the Fourth of July traffic rush.
Triple-A estimates a record 42-million Americans will hit the road this holiday weekend, with the worst delays expected Thursday and Friday afternoon.
The transportation data company Inrix suggests the best times to hit the road are before 7 a.m. today, 10 a.m. Friday, or noon Saturday. Inrix also recommends leaving after 8 p.m. this evening, 9 p.m. Friday, or 7 p.m. Saturday to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
Sunday and Monday are expected to see the lightest traffic.
