Big Company CEO pay hits record $14.7 million average in 2021

(New York, NY) -- The people running the biggest companies in America are making more money than ever.

The average pay for CEOs of the nation's biggest companies hit a record 14-point-seven million dollars last year, according to the latest analysis by The Wall Street Journal. It's the sixth year in a row that average CEO pay hit a record.

The Journal reports the top 25 CEOs each made more than 35-million dollars last year, including online travel company Expedia's Peter Kern who scored 296-million dollars, making him the highest paid CEO in the country.
