(Heathrow, FL) -- Drivers are starting the work week with more pain at the pump.

Gas prices jumped a nickel over the weekend. Triple-A puts Monday's new national average at four dollars and 32 cents a gallon. That's up 20 cents in the past month.

Only eight states are now under the four dollar mark. It was triple that just 30 days ago. Georgia is the cheapest to fill up at three-84 a gallon while California continues to be the most expensive at five-82.

As for North Dakota, Monday's statewide average is currently at $4.01 per gallon. In Cass County, the average per gallon is $3.95.
