(Moscow) -- Russia's leader says he had no choice but to invade Ukraine ten weeks ago.

Vladimir Putin blamed the West for allegedly planning an attack and called NATO an obvious threat. He praised his troops during a victory parade to mark the end of World War Two.

Putin didn't say much about next steps in Ukraine or how long the fighting will last.

Ukraine isn't celebrating but President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a message, insisting they'll win.
