(Washington, DC) -- The Supreme Court is deciding the fate of what's known as the "Remain in Mexico" policy.

Justices will hear arguments Tuesday on President Biden's plan to end it. He vowed to do that once elected and tried last year but a court reinstated the rule, siding with two states that had sued.

The program launched in 2019 and sends people seeking asylum back to Mexico while their cases are processed in immigration court. Critics call it inhumane.
