Homebuilder confidence slips for 4th straight month

(Washington, DC)  --  Homebuilder confidence is slipping as interest rates and home prices head higher.  The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index slipped two points in April for its fourth straight monthly decline.  Home Builders' chief economist Robert Dietz noted rapidly rising interest rates and higher construction costs are pricing many first-time homebuyers out of the market.
