(Pasadena, CA) -- NASA's Mars helicopter is breaking records again.

It's 25th flight just went farther and faster than ever before, covering a distance of 23-hundred feet. Ingenuity landed on a crater 14 months ago, proving aerial exploration is possible despite the planet's thin atmosphere.

The four-pound helicopter was only supposed to fly for a month but is now on an extended mission, headed to a new area with the Perseverance rover.
