(New York, NY) -- The NFL is making a new commitment to diversity.

Every football team will now be required to have a minority or a woman as an assistant coach to work on offense. A committee of outside advisers will also assist in such hiring efforts.

The league is facing allegations of racial discrimination by former Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores, who is now an assistant for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The NFL currently has five minority head coaches.
