(Fukushima) -- A huge earthquake has struck off the northeastern coast of Japan.

The 7.3 magnitude quake has triggered a Tsunami warning for Fukushima and other areas. There are widespread power outages and trains and elevators have stopped.

In 2011, a 9.0 quake struck in about the same area. It killed more than 18-thousand people and caused a major disaster at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
