(Bismarck, ND) -- The Senate Ukraine Caucus met with multiple U.S Senators Monday night to discuss the war happening within the distant country's borders.

North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer summarized the joint discussion, "The war is now and the need is now. The urgency is past - we are there. Whatever assistance the United States can provide in terms of fighting Russia, in terms of deterring Vladimir Putin, has to happen now."

Cramer also urged the need for expediency of aid to Ukraine. He urged for a supplement within the Omnibus spending bill which would direct aid to Ukraine.

"We are no longer talking about future tense," urged Cramer, "The need is now."
