Small plane crashes onto train tracks in California, hit by train

(Los Angeles, CA) -- A small plane that crashed at a railroad crossing was hit by a train near a small airport in the Los Angeles area.  

The plane went down close to a police station and Los Angeles Police officers pulled the pilot from the wreckage just seconds before the Metrolink train slammed into it Sunday afternoon.  

The pilot suffered minor injuries.
