Giant Asteroid to Pass by Earth Friday

(Houston, TX) -- An asteroid bigger than the Great Pyramid of Giza is on track to pass by Earth Friday.

NASA says something that big would "cause local damage to the impact area" if it were to hit Earth. But the space agency assures there's nothing to worry about. Experts say, at its closest point, the asteroid will be more than three and-a-half million miles away.

Two more giant space rocks will fly by this month and another five next month.
