FDA Panel Voting on J&J Boosters Friday

(Washington, DC) -- More COVID vaccine boosters could begin at end of the month.

An FDA advisory committee plans to vote Friday on a second shot from Johnson and Johnson. The panel began its meeting yesterday and recommended a half-dose from Moderna for seniors and those at high risk.

The full FDA is expected to rule after, leaving it to the CDC to weigh in as soon as next week. More than seven million people have already received Pfizer's booster.
