Southwest Announces Vaccine Mandate for Employees

(Dallas, TX) -- Southwest Airlines is ramping up its vaccination efforts.  

On Monday, the airline announced that all workers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December to remain employed.  

According to reports, employees can be exempt from the mandate due to medical or religious reasons. Southwest says all employees must be vaccinated by December 9th.  

The airline joins American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and JetBlue in mandating COVID-19 vaccinations.
