Migrant Facility Could Reopen at Guantanamo Bay

(Washington, DC) -- Homeland Security is working to reopen a migrant detention center at Guantanamo Bay.

The department wants a private contractor to run it, specifically guards who speak Haitian Creole and Spanish. The facility is separate from the prison holding terrorism suspects.

DHS says it could help ease the border surge, like the one happening in Texas. That's where thousands of Haitian migrants are camped out under a bridge.
