Report: McDonald's Considers Closing Indoor Dining Over Delta Variant Surge

(Chicago, IL) -- McDonald's is reportedly considering closing its dining rooms again as COVID-19 cases are again surging across the U.S.

Reuters reports the fast-food giant has told franchise-holders what steps to take to shut down indoor dining in areas heavily affected by the highly contagious delta variant.

McDonald's closed indoor seating and play areas in March of last year when Americans were asked to stay home to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The company started slowly re-opening indoor dining this past May.
