U.S. West Bakes In Record Heat

(Las Vegas, NV)  --  The record-breaking heat continues across the West.  An extreme heat wave blankets much of the western U.S., sending daytime temperatures into the triple-digits from Arizona to Oregon.  On Saturday, Las Vegas set a new all-time record by hitting 117 degrees.  The National Weather Service said Death Valley hit 129 degrees Saturday, and forecasters say there's a good chance it could hit 130 degrees today.  Over 30 million Americans in western states remain under excessive heat warnings and advisories.
