World's First Ever Infusion Of Newly Approved Alzheimer's Drug

(Providence, RI) -- A 70-year-old Rhode Island man is the first person to receive a recently approved Alzheimer's drug.  

Marc Archambault is part of the Memory and Aging Program at Butler Hospital in Providence, where clinical studies have been conducted.

He was diagnosed in 2014 with early-onset Alzheimer's Disease.  

One hospital researcher called Wednesday's milestone historic and said the drug is opening a new era in treatment.
