CDC: Evidence Growing Stronger For COVID Vaccine Link To Heart Issue

(Atlanta, GA) -- The CDC says a number of people have reported a type of heart inflammation following their COVID-19 vaccination.

The case numbers are especially high among young men following their second dose.

Overall, 226 cases of myocarditis or pericarditis in people younger than age 30 have been confirmed. There are usually fewer than 100 cases in a year for this age group.

The CDC says further investigation is needed to confirm whether the vaccination was the cause of the heart problem.
